The meeting took place at the Algerian Embassy in Beirut, where an atmosphere of mutual respect and constructive dialogue prevailed, reflecting the deep relationship between free media and diplomatic missions within a framework of respect for sovereignty and the promotion of a public space for debate. The meeting also addressed the importance of the media in shaping public opinion, given its position as the fourth estate in democratic systems, and its vital role in consolidating the values of truth, transparency, and accountability. The challenges facing media professionals in light of regional and international changes were also addressed.
