His Excellency the Algerian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mr. Kamal Bouchama, received Engineer Ghassan Nasser, a former leader in the Lebanese Communist Party, at the embassy headquarters in Beirut on Thursday morning, May 22, 2025. This meeting was part of the intellectual meetings that bring together prominent political and cultural figures.
The meeting addressed regional developments and the rapid transformations taking place in the Middle East, as well as the repercussions of political and economic crises on security and stability in the region.
During the meeting, His Excellency the Ambassador affirmed Algeria's firm position on issues of liberation and social justice, and its commitment to the role of honest and independent political action as an essential tool for building free and informed societies. He also highlighted the importance of dialogue between Arab intellectual and political elites in promoting shared awareness and fortifying Arab identity in the face of complex challenges.
